Cruising school La Rochelle

The cruising school offers training courses for all levels.

Courses may be shore-based or itinerant, such as cruising courses, which involve returning daily to the pontoon in La Rochelle at the Port des Minimes. Participants may choose to stay on board or attend as day participants.

The sailing area off La Rochelle is particularly sheltered from large offshore waves, offering a reassuring environment for those prone to seasickness and facilitating progressive learning.

The school also operates as a cruising school, offering itinerant training that includes stopovers and sometimes night sailing, depending on weather conditions.

A sailing course is available, and interested parties can contact the cruising school for more information. Boarding takes place aboard the Stereden, a magnificent Dufour 414.

La Rochelle Nautique

After several years of collaboration and negotiations, the Société des Régates Rochelaises and the École de Voile Rochelaise decided to merge to create a new club called “La Rochelle Nautique”.

This union marks the convergence of two major nautical entities in La Rochelle, now united under a single banner. This new club benefits from the synergy of their skills, promising to improve and expand sailing training and competition offerings under the colors of La Rochelle.

La Rochelle Nautique inherits the expertise of the SRR, an institution more than 150 years old, recognized for its experience in organizing major nautical events and training high-level sailors, some of whom have excelled at the Olympic Games and in international competitions.

The École de Voile Rochelaise brings to this partnership its complete fleet, state-of-the-art facilities, and expertise in sailing instruction from initiation to advanced levels, thus strengthening the know-how of La Rochelle Nautique.
