World Sailing (ex ISAF) courses

A real asset for any sailor

The courses described below are part of an overall approach to sail training and skills development for sailors.

World Sailing courses (ex-ISAF)

Originally imposed on ocean racers by maritime regulations, World Sailing (ex-ISAF) training is increasingly sought after by recreational sailors wishing to validate theoretical and practical skills in the areas of survival at sea, medical care for the injured, and safety in recreational boating in general.

This training is therefore a real asset for any sailor concerned with anticipating the inherent risks associated with regular sailing practice.

“World Sailing” course

Ultimately, this training leads in particular to obtaining the Complementary Technical Competency Unit (UCTC) for the following qualifications:

- Assistant Sailing Instructor Certificate (AMV) cruising option,
- Federal Sailing Instructor diploma, cruising option,
- “Technical level of OFFSHORE SKIPPER” of the French Sailing Federation.

It includes joint World Sailing / FFVoile qualifications Sea First Aid (known as “PS Mer”), Survival / Offshore Medical Training.

It is also open to any experienced recreational sailor wishing to train in these areas.
