Rochelaise Sailing School 2017
Whether you're curious to spend half an hour on a paddleboard, learn to sail a dinghy, or try kite-surfing, anything that floats is an opportunity to have a great time on the water, provided you're guided by competent and friendly people. You're in La Rochelle... why miss out?
All aboard.
The cruising school offers training courses for all levels.
The courses can be stationary or itinerant, such as cruising courses, which involve a daily return to the pontoon in La Rochelle at the Port des Minimes. Participants have the option to stay onboard or attend as external trainees.
The body of water facing La Rochelle is particularly sheltered from large offshore waves, providing a safe environment for those prone to seasickness and enabling gradual learning.
The school also operates as a cruising school, offering itinerant training that includes stopovers and sometimes night sailing, depending on weather conditions.
A sailing course is available, and those interested can contact the cruising school for more information. The reception is aboard the Stereden, a beautiful Dufour 414.
After several years of collaboration and negotiations, the Société des Régates Rochelaises and the École de Voile Rochelaise have decided to merge to create a new club named "La Rochelle Nautique".
This union marks the convergence of two major nautical entities in La Rochelle, now united under one banner. This new club benefits from the synergy of their expertise, promising to enhance and expand training and competitive sailing offerings under the La Rochelle flag.
La Rochelle Nautique inherits the expertise of the SRR, an institution over 150 years old, recognized for its experience in organizing major nautical events and training high-level sailors, some of whom have excelled at the Olympic Games and in international competitions.
The École de Voile Rochelaise contributes to this partnership with its complete fleet, state-of-the-art infrastructure, and expertise in sailing instruction, from initiation to advanced levels, thereby strengthening the capabilities of La Rochelle Nautique.
This club, ideally located between the Old Port and the Concurrence Beach, offers training in light sailing from the Saint-Jean d'Acre parking area.
The ASPTT also provides discovery sessions starting from 30 minutes, as well as courses lasting 3 to 5 days. Private or group lessons and training on habitable sailboats are also available.
Audience: children, teenagers, and adults.
